Bucksport Regional Health Center is celebrating its 50th anniversary by holding a health fair, Saturday, June 1, from 10 to 2 at 110 Broadway Bucksport.
Dozens of vendors, including the Bucksport Town Library with their summer reading and other programs, the coast guard auxiliary with water and boating safety, Areil Shepherd, massage therapist, Hannaford, Downeast Community Partners, Friends in Action, Bucksport Bay Health Community Coalition, and the Maine Bike Coalition who will provide bicycle safety information and do helmet fitting and safety checks.
There will also be giveaways, goody bags, prizes, and fun for the kids including a bike rodeo, and temporary stick-on tattoos. So bring the kids and their bikes.
BRHC staff will do some screenings and provide COVID shots.
The Bucksport Police Department will be on hand to do a drug take-back event so bring all your expired medicine and any medicine that you no longer need and they will take it for you. They are also doing children identity kits.
This is a free event and everyone is welcome to attend to help BRHC celebrate its 50th anniversary.
